Established 1977, Villa Caruso is centrally located in an impressive log and stone building. From the open-to-view kitchen with flame grill and slow roast oven come classic and innovative preparations of Canadian cuisine (plus European specialties) where AAA Angus Alberta beef and wild game are the star ingredients.

Atmosphere

The spacious, elevator-accessible second floor dining room is one of Jasper’s most upscale. The lodge-like décor boasts wood beams, hardwood floors, two fireplaces, three balcony patios and mountain views from every seat. There is an area for private groups, and a fireside lounge with a big screen that shows sports.

  • Lunch: Keith’s Battered Fish and Chips; Elk Burger with Blueberry Horseradish Mayo; Philly Cheese Prime Rib; Salmon Salad; Chicken Burger with Jalapeño Havarti
  • Appetizers: escargot Provençal (mushroom, leek, tomato); calamari with tzatziki (Spanish onion, parsley, lemon); Greek shrimp (fresh herbs, olive oil, oregano, tomato); seared scallops (caramel coconut raisin sauce); Newfoundland mussels (green curry coconut  sauce); saganaki flambé; mezze platter
  • Salads: hazelnut and thyme crusted goat cheese; Villa‘s Caesar; traditional Greek; cabernet sauvignon poached pear; classic house; chicken Caesar
  • Burgers: Caruso AAA beef burger; Rocky Mountain elk burger
  • Chicken Souvlaki; Litsa’s Moussaka; Baked Chicken Supreme
  • AAA Alberta Angus Steaks: house spice seasoned New York, rib eye, sirloin or tenderloin; red wine and shallot reduction, fresh vegetables and chef’s potato
  • AAA Alberta Prime Rib (slow roasted, served au jus); AAA Beef Tenderloin and Caribbean Rock Lobster Tail; Chef’s Wild Game Specialties (elk, bison, venison)
  • Barbecue Pork Back Ribs (homemade barbecue sauce); Proscuitto Wrapped Pork Tenderloin (apple cider jus); New Zealand Rack of Lamb (baley risotto)
