Award-winning Walter’s Dining Room is named after Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre founder Chief Walter Twinn of the Sawridge First Nation. Dinner here is a leisurely affair. The diverse menu reflects western Canada and its Native heritage. Dishes include fish, meat and game accompanied by organic produce from farms within 100 kms of Jasper.

The elegant atrium at Walter’s Dining Room has lots of greenery and a three-storey cedar clad fireplace. For more casual dining try Hearthstone Lounge with rock fireplace and hand built log furniture, or Champs Sports Lounge with HDTVs, pool tables and dart board. The function rooms host up to 300 people.

  • Breakfast: Generous Value-Priced Breakfast Buffet, a daily Jasper tradition; Buttermilk Pancakes; French Toast; Eggs Benny; Bagel and Lox; Sawridge Biscuit; Oatmeal; Berry Parfait; Dutch Baby; Scotch Egg; Omelettes: choose 3 from, bacon, smoked ham, smoked salmon, cheddar cheese, spinach, red pepper, green onion, mushrooms, tomato or Swiss cheese 
  • Salads: Caesar Salad: with smoked bacon, bannock croutons; Walter’s Salad: kale, radish, cucumber, pickled red onion, puffed wild rice, smoked tomato vinaigrette
  • Appetizers: Three Sisters Soup: roasted butternut squash, roasted corn, navy beans, crème fraiche; Mushrooms on Toast: BC wild mushrooms, smoked yogurt, basil oil, wild garlic, mushroom stock, baguette
  • Salmon and Sorrel: seared organic salmon, red veined sorrel, baby potato, citrus cream sauce, wild mushrooms, sorrel purée
  • Chicken Fricassee: pan seared chicken breast, celery, onion, chicken and corn velouté,
  • Lamb Navarin: braised lamb shank, herbs, spring onions, baby carrots, green beans, snap peas, fondant potatoes
  • Short Rib: slow cooked Alberta beef, roasted heirloom carrots, veal consommé, whipped Yukon gold potatoes, parmesan crisps
  • Puttanesca: pappardelle pasta, shallot, capers, lemon, Kalamata olives, marinated cherry tomatoes, parsley oil, grana padano
