The 35-minute drive to Stone Peak Restaurant follows a former fur trading route along the Athabasca River and past scenic Talbot and Jasper Lakes. Located inside historic Overlander Mountain Lodge, Stone Peak is a delicious departure from the ordinary. The culinary team creates Canadian cuisine with international flair, influenced by Chef Bibhuti Narak’s world travels.

Atmosphere & Accolades 

This charming mountain lodge features a rustic dining room, fireside lounge and outdoor patio. Patrons revel in stellar views of Roche Perdix and Roche Miette mountains as well as occasional trains snaking through the Athabasca River valley. The Wine Spectator award-winning wine list includes 275 choices.

  • East Meets West Seafood Chowder: Atlantic mussels and scallops, BC salmon and Manila clams, shrimp, bronze fennel, young garden vegetables
  • Tian of Duck Confit: wild mushroom salad, green lentils, pear and ginger chutney, orange reduction
  • Authentic Mumbai Butter Chicken: basmati rice, mango chutney, crisp pappadum, naan bread, cucumber raita
  • Cedar Plank Atlantic Salmon: mushroom risotto, braised leeks, organic carrots
  • Chocolate Fondue for Two: Bailey’s and Callebaut chocolate served with rice krispy squares, dark chocolate brownies and seasonal fruit
