A TEMPTING SELECTION Of the best restaurants in Jasper
For over 60 years, Tekarra Restaurant has pleased locals, visitors and celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and John Travolta. The culinary team delivers regional Canadian specialties with interesting twists and upscale presentations. The focus is on quality comfort food from fresh, local ingredients like Alberta bison, wild boar, free range chicken and Arctic char. Appetizers like baked brie and the charcuterie platter are great for sharing. Functions are accommodated.
A secluded cabin in the woods. The authentic, rustic character of the pine cabin showcases Executive Chef Dale Nutt’s food forward, yet classically rooted, menu and bar. Enjoy a drink on the patio or on the outside path that leads to the stunningly beautiful Athabasca River. While dining, use crayons to draw on the paper tablecloths; it’s a Tekarra tradition!
Tekarra uses regionally-sourced protein. For a true taste of the Rockies, try the signature Rainbow Trout with coconut quinoa and chef’s choice vegetables.
From the Kitchen
Chef Dale earned his Red Seal in 1995. At Tekarra his “fresh is best” philosophy has created classic house-made sauces and jams, bourbon mustard, and smoked trout.
